Atlantic City is moving forward with the next phase of the Atlantic Avenue Safety Improvement Project after securing a $10.3 million federal RAISE grant. After five years, the Atlantic City Aquarium has officially reopened, welcoming visitors back to a fully renovated and reimagined space at Historic Gardner’s Basin. With new exhibits, interactive experiences, and a fresh look inside and out, the Aquarium is once again a vibrant hub for education and family fun. Mayor Marty Small Sr. called the reopening a proud moment and a symbol of Atlantic City’s continued growth and community spirit.

Mayor Marty Small Sr. has expanded the eligibility for the third year of the $3 million “Mayor Marty Small Sr. Scholarship,” enabling 100 more Atlantic City residents to receive up to $10,000 each for higher education. The program now includes trade school students, graduate students, and previous awardees—ensuring even more locals can access financial support to pursue their educational goals.

Atlantic City is celebrating a major milestone as the newly rebuilt Ohio Avenue Bridge—known locally as “Second Bridge”—reopens months ahead of schedule. Thanks to strong leadership, efficient planning, and community support, the vital Venice Park connector was completed in just 18 months with no cost to local taxpayers. Mayor Marty Small, Sr. called the project a symbol of “trust, progress, and partnership” and a promise kept to Atlantic City residents.
